FAQ

  • Camp runs from June 15th through July 31st. Daily hours are 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with aftercare available until 5:30 PM.

  • We are located at the Landow Jewish Academy Campus, 3100 SW 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315, conveniently near I-95 and I-595.

  • We offer programs for every stage, from 18 months through high school. This includes The Nest Preschool (18 months–4 years), Camp Nefesh (ages 5–12), and our CIT Program (ages 13–15), with counselor opportunities for high school students.

  • Camp Nefesh combines fun, friendship, and Jewish values in a high-energy, welcoming environment. With our “One Camp, Two Worlds” approach, boys and girls (ages 5–12) enjoy tailored programming while still being part of one unified camp community.

  • Campers enjoy a mix of athletics, creativity, and adventure. This includes sports in our air-conditioned gym, music and art, weekly field trips, and in-house favorites like laser tag, foam parties, color wars, and bubble ball. Each week features exciting themes like Superheroes, Amazing Race, Israel, and Safari.

  • Yes. We provide healthy, strictly kosher hot lunches and snacks every day, so there’s zero meal prep for families.

  • The weekly rate is $350, and the full summer (7 weeks) is $2,100 for the best value. The CIT program is $250 per week. A one-time $150 registration fee applies.

  • Yes, we offer a 10% sibling discount for each additional child enrolled.

  • Yes, bussing is available to make your daily commute easier and stress-free.

  • Safety is a top priority on our fully gated 5.5-acre campus, which includes full-time security guards, cameras throughout the facility, and controlled access with bag-checking.

Sample Daily Schedule

While each day varies based on activities, electives, and special events, here’s a general look at what a typical day at Camp Nefesh feels like:

 

8:30 – 9:00 AM
Arrival, drop-off, and table games to ease into the day

9:00 – 9:30 AM
Morning camp huddle with prayers, announcements, and group bonding

9:30 – 11:30 AM
Rotating activities including sports, playground time, creative projects, and group programming

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Lunch break with hot kosher meals provided

12:30 – 2:30 PM
Electives and mini-electives based on camper interests (sports, arts, STEM, music, and more)

2:30 – 3:10 PM
Group activities, leadership development, or special programming (like color war prep, mitzvah projects, etc.)

3:10 – 3:30 PM
Wrap-up, lineup, and dismissal

3:30 – 5:30 PM (Optional)

Aftercare with additional games and supervised free play

 

Notes for Parents

  • One day each week is dedicated to off-campus field trips

  • Additional days may include pool time, special events, or in-house experiences

  • Activities rotate daily to keep things fresh, engaging, and age-appropriate
